The money a thrift store can charge for a wedding dress is a lot compared to a pair of pants you throw out when you're done with them. That money then gets pumped into whatever charity the store is associated with. Many of those gowns even become the fabric for dresses by creative, broke brides. Other brides opt to donate their dresses to charities that either provide low income brides with them or sell them and use the money for other purposes. I can't think of a better way to remember a special day than by sharing that with others. Besides, a wedding dress left in a bag in the closet is equally depressing. I'd think it's liberating to be free of it. dfawerwaghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04904032560331846503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8104692645589867745.post-43275711626304969972011-07-25T20:27:37.569-06:002011-07-25T20:27:37.569-06:00Astute observations, Liza!!

Not really treasured...it is probably waiting for my funeral to finally be liberated:-)Visionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03455056580161858453noreply@blogger.com
